Introducing the James Bond Family Crest 60th Anniversary 1oz Silver Coin By The Perth Mint. Struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.99% pure gold, the coin is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu. The Perth Mint will release no more than 1,000 of the coin, from a maximum mintage of 25,000.
Backstory. In 1969's On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Bond is shown the heraldic design at the College of Arms in London where genealogist Sir Hilary Bray describes it as “argent on a chevron sable... three bezants”, adding “good motto, eh? The world is not enough.”
Details. The coin’s reverse portrays the Bond Family Crest with the motto in Latin - ‘ORBIS NON SUFFICIT’. Highlighting the anniversary, the shield is augmented with the number ‘60’. Also included in the design is the inscription ‘SIXTY YEARS OF JAMES BOND’ and the iconic 007 gun logo. The obverse of the coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, as well as the coin’s weight, purity, monetary denomination and 2022 year-date. Each coin is housed in a James Bond 60th anniversary themed presentation card.
