James Bond Casino Plaques Prop Replica - Dr. No Numbered Edition

Welcome to Le Cercle casino, home to a pivotal moment in the history of 007 films... the first time the words "Bond. James Bond" are spoken. Here Bond plays a game of chemin de fer using cash plaques. The James Bond Casino Plaques Prop Replica features three reproductions, based on the ones used in filming, now held in the Bond Archive.

Backstory. For filming, real plaques from a noted London casino were loaned to lend an air of authenticity. Uniformed security guards stood watch off-camera and once filming wrapped, all but a very few plaques were returned to the casino. The fictional casino was based on the Mayfair club at Les Ambassadors, 5 Hamilton Place, London.

Details. The set contains three plaques - £50, £100, £500 - in heavyweight acrylic, based on the set used on the props used in filming. The design feature an illustration of Les Ambassadors, 5 Hamilton Place, home to Le Cercle. Modern materials have been used in place of obsolete vintage materials and the serial numbers on each plaque have been modified for legal compliance reasons. Each plaque has flame-polished edges, inlaid mother of pearl-effect screen-printed artwork and engraved serial numbers. The set is presented in a gift box, with magnetic closure and an individually numbered certificate of authenticity booklet.
