A sartorial silk tie created exclusively by Royal Warrant holders Turnbull & Asser for The World Is Not Enough (1999). Turnbull & Asser worked closely with the film's costume designer and star to create a sleek, elegant look befitting a stylish 00 agent.
Backstory. Designed specially for Pierce Brosnan in The World Is Not Enough, this tie is worn by 007 at MI6 headquarters and as he pilots the Q-boat in the subsequent Thames River chase.
Details. The silk for this English-made tie is woven in a jacquard design with a grey base and a tri-colour intersecting squares pattern with a 3D sense of depth. The tie is tipped in matching silk and lined in a wool blend. All Turnbull & Asser silk ties are hand-sewn in Kent by a team of artisans with centuries of combined experience. The silk used is woven in Suffolk using techniques dating back hundreds of years. The blade of each design features a unique hidden 'loop' made from strongest-ever bonded thread, which allows the tie to ruche and relax back into place after wearing.
Dimensions. 9.5cm at the widest point.
