"...Against your Walther PPK"
The Golden Gun is the weapon of choice for master assassin Francisco Scaramanga and features prominently in The Man With The Golden Gun (1974).
In the film, MI6 receive a golden bullet with Bond's 007 etched in the side. They believe the threat was sent by Francisco Scaramanga and as a result, Bond is sent to find the famed assassin. Tracking him to custom gunmaker Lazar in Macau, Bond hears more about this one-of-a-kind weapon, made in pure gold.
Scaramanga makes up his gun from five separate seemingly innocuous elements, a lighter, fountain pen, cigarette case, cufflink and bullet, which can be smuggled through customs without detection. When combined they create a deadly 4.2-calibre handgun which fires a single shot - a golden bullet.
