Introducing the James Bond Jaws Teeth Silver-plated Paperweight - Numbered Edition, a precious collectible, handmade in a series of just 500.
7’2” actor Richard Kiel was first cast as villainous metal-toothed strongman Jaws for The Spy Who Loved Me and proved so popular that he reappeared in Moonraker two years later. The development of the teeth required a few stages. The film’s production designer Ken Adam gave Katharina Kubrick in the art department the job of designing the dentures. Art director Peter Lamont sent Kiel to his dentist in Buckinghamshire for the moulds to be cast. The teeth were then made of a surgical-grade cobalt steel alloy and although uniquely shaped to fit, could only be worn for a few minutes at a time before becoming uncomfortable.
