CUT THE TIES

  • 1 min read

Did you know that British Royal Warrant holders Turnbull & Asser were asked to create bespoke ties for many of the 007 films? The historic shirt maker worked closely with Pierce Brosnan and the costume designer of his movies to create a sleek, elegant look befitting a stylish 00 agent.

Founded in 1885, Turnbull & Asser is a British shirtmaker and Royal Warrant holder with its flagship store on Jermyn Street, London. Creating luxurious shirts and ties in their English workrooms, the company pride themselves on retaining talented craftspeople with traditional skills. The silk used in the collection is woven in Suffolk using techniques dating back hundreds of years. All Turnbull & Asser silk ties are hand-sewn in Kent by a team of artisans with centuries of combined experience. The blade of each design features a unique hidden 'loop' made from strongest-ever bonded thread, which allows the tie to ruche and relax back into place after wearing.
