Backstory. Bollinger makes its 007 debut in the Ian Fleming novel Diamonds are Forever. Its first screen appearance is in Moonraker (1979). Bond climbs through Holly Goodhead’s hotel room window in Venice and when he sees the Bollinger ice bucket, he remarks, “If it is the '69, you were expecting me.”
Details. Modelled on the House's Special Cuvée, Bollinger Rosé NV is made from Pinot Noir with a dash each of Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, for a fantastic depth of flavour. It’s a seductive,, full flavoured, powerful Champagne with a soft texture and long finish. Vibrant red cherry, raspberry, rose petal and fresh bread open the aromas, whilst the palate is intense, structured, complex and fruit-driven. Crisp, long and textured on the finish, this excellent release is a superb celebratory drink. NV stands for 'non-vintage', a champagne made from a blend of several years of reserve wines to create a consistent taste. Presented in a Bollinger gift box.
The makers. Bollinger has been creating prestigious champagnes since 1829. These outstanding wines are the result of rigorous attention to detail, for Bollinger accepts nothing less than excellence. Each and every detail represents a quest for a certain form of perfection. The House has held a Royal Warrant since 1884.
