James Bond 1oz Silver Proof Coloured Coin - Skyfall DB5 Edition - By The Perth Mint

The James Bond 1oz Silver Proof Coloured Coin - Skyfall DB5 Edition - By The Perth Mint is struck by from 99.99% pure silver. Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu, this is released in a series of 5,000.

Backstory.   Debuting 60 years ago in 1964’s Goldfinger, the sleek silver birch sports car remains synonymous with James Bond. With front-mounted machine guns, a bullet-proof rear shield, and a passenger-side ejector seat among Q Branch’s many modifications, it became a quintessential Bond symbol. To popular approval, the car made a long-awaited reappearance in 2006’s Casino Royale, the first Bond movie starring Daniel Craig. With the acclaimed actor behind the wheel in sequels Skyfall,
Spectre, and No Time To Die, it contributed to some of the franchise’s most memorable moments, cementing its iconic status in movie history forever.

Details. The coin’s reverse portrays a coloured image of Daniel Craig with the DB5 looking out to the Scottish Higlands on the way to his familyestate. The design includes the coloured inscription ‘JAMES BOND’, the 007 gun logo, and spiral gun barrel
graphics from the franchise’s signature opening sequence. The obverse portrays the Jody Clark effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, as well as the weight, purity, monetary denomination, and 2024 year-date.

The makers. The Perth Mint is Australia's official bullion mint and is wholly owned by the Government of Western Australia. The mint manufactures and distributes platinum, silver and gold coins for collectors and customers worldwide.

Please note. We recommend keeping your coin within its protective display housing at all times. If touched or left exposed to the air, the freshly minted metal will react to atmospheric dust and moisture, as well as oils and acids in the skin, leaving marks that cannot be removed. If you do choose to handle your coin, always wear gloves and hold it by its edges.
