The James Bond 1/4oz Gold Proof Coin - 1970s Numbered Edition by The Royal Mint is a celebration of the Bond films of the 1970s with a coin designed by award-winning design agency Bison Bison. The coin features 007 in Wet Nellie from The Spy Who Loved Me, accompanied by the '70s 007 logo. Just 650 of this coin will be issued. 

Backstory. Perhaps the single most outlandish car Bond has driven, the iconic white Lotus Esprit is capable of transforming from surface driving to submersible operations underwater. Appearing in The Spy Who Loved Me, this heavily armed Q-branch vehicle is affectionately known as Wet Nellie. 

Details. This is a coin made from 1/4oz gold, featuring Wet Nellie in relief against inscriptions of all the 1970s film titles with the '70s 007 logo. On the obverse is a portrait of King Charles, dated 2023. Each coin comes with commemorative packaging detailing James Bond’s 1970s history and a numbered certificate of authenticity.
