Introducing the James Bond Leica D-Lux 7 007 Camera - Numbered Edition. Refined, discreet and always ready for action – the classic James Bond traits also apply to the new Leica D-Lux 7 007 Edition. Designed to be ready for action, any time, anywhere in the world, the camera comes with a special edition leather shoulder holster, numbered engraving and gun barrel lens cap. Made in a limited numbered edition of 1,962.
Backstory. The concept of a Leica and 007 partnership began with Bond producer Michael G. Wilson, also a leading expert on 19th century photography. Michael founded The Wilson Centre for Photography and his passion provided the natural spark for the collaboration.
Details.Along with its elegant camera trim made of a high performance material with a subtle rhombus pattern and the 007 engraving on the top plate, the 007 Edition is also distinguished by a shoulder holster. The leather holster allows the camera to be carried securely and with instant access, whilst being easily accessible at all times. The handgrip and wrist strap ensure secure handling in fast paced scenarios, while the gun barrel lens cap opens automatically as soon as the camera is switched on.
This limited special edition set offers all the technical features and performance benefits pf the D-Lux 7 series camera plus a host of exclusive 007 special-edition accessories, including a shoulder holster, diamond patterned outer texture, hand grip in matching pattern, wrist strap, automatic lens cap with gun barrel design, an engraved 007 logo on the top plate and edition number on the hot shoe.
The makers. Leica’s partnership with British cinema’s longest-running film franchise has seen the cameras play a role both on set and behind the scenes. In No Time To Die, Leica cameras are seen in Bond’s Jamaican home and the Leica Q2 can be seen in Q’s London home.
