A rare gift for the James Bond connoisseur, the collector’s edition features a special bottle of Blackwell Fine Jamaican Rum (70cl/750ml) in a hand-numbered case with the iconic Dr. No scene that launched the James Bond franchise. Included is a personalised signed note from Chris Blackwell. Fewer than 1,000 boxes have been made.
Details.This fine Jamaican rum is distilled and blended by J. Wray & Nephew’s Master Blender, Joy Spence, in Jamaica to a bespoke recipe from the days when Blackwell’s mother’s family owned J. Wray & Nephew and the Appleton Estate. Made with Jamaican sugar cane, the rum is tropically aged for two years to mellow, without any overpowering woody notes. The limited edition is presented with a special 60th anniversary bottle design and special hand-numbered rigid case with imagery and signed notes.
Tasting notes. A dark rum character with the smooth and light body notes of gold. A soft and sweet entrance with vanilla and caramel flavours, followed by toasted marshmallow and a natural spice finish.
The maker. Chris Blackwell founded Island Records and is a longtime resident of Jamaica.
