Introducing the James BondLive And Let Die Coin by The Perth Mint.
The eighth in a series of 25 Bond coins, this officially licensed product celebrates Live And Let Die, the 1973 blockbuster. Each coin in the Perth Mint’s James Bond official 25-coin collection has a fully coloured design and celebrates a particular movie. These unique James Bond collectables depict images from the original posters and are struck by The Perth Mint from 1/2oz of 99.99% pure silver. Issued as Tuvalu legal tender, the coins have a maximum mintage of 12,007 each.
Backstory. After freeing Kananga’s girlfriend, Solitaire, Bond discovers that Kananga and Mr. Big are one and the same. Via his chain of Fillet of Soul restaurants, Kananga plans to flood the USA with two tons of free heroin, which will put his competitors out of business and allow him to monopolise the drug’s supply.
Details. The coin’s design portrays a sketched image of Bond in a classic pose with gun, tarot card and fire in colour. The other side bears the Ian-Rank Broadley portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2021 year date, weight and purity, and monetary denomination. Each coin is presented in a 007 acrylic display case within a box, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity featuring poster artwork.
The makers. The Perth Mint is the official mint of Australia and is wholly owned by the Government of Western Australia. The mint manufactures and distributes platinum, silver and gold coins for collectors and customers worldwide.
Please note: We recommend keeping your coin within its protective display housing at all times. If touched or left exposed to the air, the freshly minted precious metal will react to atmospheric dust and moisture, as well as oils and acids in the skin, leaving marks that cannot be removed. We cannot be held responsible if this happens. If you do choose to handle your coin, always wear gloves and hold it by its edges.
